How to find it
- Generates in plains, desert, savanna, taiga, snowy plains and meadow biomes - walk and look, or use /locate structure minecraft:village_plains (each variant has its own ID)
- Cartographers never map villages: exploration is the way
- On Bedrock, villages are far more common than in Java
Loot
- Hay bales (9 wheat each) and farm crops
- House chests: food, tools, saplings, armor
- Weaponsmith chests: iron, obsidian, sometimes diamonds
- Beds and workstations you can take for your own trading hall
Dangers
- Zombie sieges and pillager raids (Bad Omen)
- Iron golems defend villagers - and you, if your reputation is good
- Zombie villagers spawn in abandoned (zombie) villages, which have cobwebs and no doors... free curing practice
Tips
- Ring the bell to make villagers hide - and to see the village center for farm building.
- Sleep before midnight on your first night: a zombie siege can wipe a village before you get to trade.
- Abandoned villages (2% of villages) have no loot penalty and plenty of cobweb-string.
